Collaboration Technology and processes are an important strategic area within Information Technology. The ChemITC CIO roundtable has sponsored a team of leaders from their respective companies to increase Collaboration Technology awareness within the Chemical industry. Key focus areas for this team include common practices, tools, and technologies used to design, deploy and manage enterprise collaboration systems.
The group gathers via conference call once every two months to share knowledge of collaboration tools, processes, and further understand how industry counterparts are using social media tools.
Networking meetings are organized to discuss a variety of topics of specific interest to the group, including:
- Instant Chat
- Sharing Large Files
- Web Conferencing
- Video Conferencing
- Governance, Security, Retention
Through these discussions, participants will increase their awareness of trends, challenges and solutions related to the use of collaboration tools and processes that are relevant to the chemical industry and gain a wealth of information that will help them enhance the solid IT foundation within their own companies.
The outcomes of discussions are summarized and reported to the CIO Roundtable.
